Suck it up, and be a man!! January 29, 2009
That is the title of a book I want my husband to write. He is what I call a real man….a man who loves Jesus, his family and others. I can’t tell you how incredible and refreshing it is to have that in my life. Jesse isn’t perfect and neither am I, but we have something that is solid and true. I have someone who passionately loves his kids, what is better then that. Who isn’t stuck in the world, but wants nothing else then to glorify God and be the head of his house in that way. Why am I saying all this… because my heart is breaking for families. We have had to many of our friends break their families apart by doing stupid things, thinking that they could find something better outside their family. I just don’t get it!!!!What is better then seeing your kids laugh, cry and fall in love with Jesus. What is better then loving another human so much that your heart aches. People are missing out…it makes me so sad. We need to stand up and be proud of our families, men and women alike need to get in there and work hard everyday for their families . My heart hurts for those kids that see their daddy leave and never come back or thier mommy get lost in a world of drugs. They need to be loved…to see love….to know love. And I know that is only found in Jesus, who is Love. That needs to be our foundation. We need to fervently pray for families….pray for husbands and wifes…..pray for kids….that we all can find that love.
God’s Calling… January 10, 2009

At Project we are talking about our calling in life. It’s something that I have prayed and thought hard about, but the problem was that I was not actually listening. I forget that I am in the midst of a calling God had placed in my life, to be a mommy . I think us “mommies”(and daddies-totally you are in here also) sometime forget that the calling of motherhood(which comes in all shapes and sizes) is a incredible gift and calling to have. I get lost in the stress of it, the late nights and mess and I forget that God had placed this in my heart a long time ago. I remember being in Freshman speech, and our teacher asked us to give a speech about our dreams. My dream was to be a mom. A little wierd for a freshman to talk about, but little did I know that years later I would be a mom to three babies. I think it is the coolest job ever, to be responsible for life that God created, how crazy is that. Our calling is as different as we are to eachother. But each of us was created with those differences so God could get the glory in so many different ways.
New name ….we will see if this one sticks:) December 28, 2008
So I have now found three famous cows called Claribel, and I just can’t get past that now. So we are going with a name we have always like, well at least since we heard the music of Schuyler Fisk. I think we will go with Skylar for the spelling instead so no one calls her strange and unusual things like I grew up with. We will see, Jesse has always liked this name, and I have never thought much about it, but it is growing on me rapidly. We think we are going to go with the middle name Bella, so cute and beautiful. So it’s Skylar Bella Fagerland –I hope you all like it—we sure do. I got to tell you it is hard to find a cute name to go with Fagerland. I don’t know why:) So Skylar means ( Shelter) and Bella means ( Beautiful) and Fagerland means ( beautiful land-serious). Love you all….I went and got Skylar her first ballerina skirt yesterday, it is so adorable, I can’t wait for her to wear it.
Christmas time is here…. December 26, 2008
Here’s a bunch of pics from our Christmas 2008. We had a awesome day and the boys had so much fun getting all kinds of new toys. But the best part was knowing that we had a gift from Jesus that was even better, His Love.
A Girl….can you believe it!!! December 26, 2008

If you can believe it we are super excited about the new little girl in our life. We decided to name her Claribel, which is French and means bright and beautiful. It is two names put together – Claire and Bella- a family name(Claire) and a name she will probably be called a lot(Bella). We just love her so much already!! Josiah and Remi know there is a baby sister in mommy tummy and give lots of kisses everyday, it is the cutest thing ever. I am just dreaming of purple and pink:)
Christmas with the Fagerland’s December 7, 2008
Life is pretty good these days. The boys are crazy but learning so much everyday. Remi just started signing and talks once in awhile. We love those boys so much. I thought I would add a few pics of our time in the woods getting our Christmas tree. It’s a little Dr. Suess but the boys have loved taking all the ornaments off and watching mommy try to put them back on again:) Love you all.
Our awesome weekend in North Dakota November 6, 2008
Congrats to my Uncle Larue and now Auntie Tracie for getting hitched. We had a awesome time visiting and playing in the leaves. Here’s a few pics of our time there.:)
Project Church October 25, 2008
During the last couple of years we have been praying for and looking for a church family. We finally find that family in a different sort of form and function. We have sort of always been a little out of the box when it came to church. We think that the church was created to share God’s love to anyone and help in making disciples. a church can come in any form, a group of three couples, people jamming at a coffee house in the downtown of a city, or in the pews of a sanctuary. But finally we have found our family at Project Church. Check out the website at projectchurch.net. A guy we have gotten to know and call a great friend, Jason, got the nudge from God to start something different, something a little radical, a place spilling over in love and truth. And that is just what we have found there. There are no expections to live up to, no dress codes, just the opportunity to find a deeper love for Christ and others. It’s true that Love is what makes the world go round, cause God is the one making it turn:) I hope that you all can find Love, the great and awesome love of Christ, that is never changing and loves the unclean, the hurting and the doubters. We are in this together, so let’s do it together, and get past all the things that keep us from loving eachother. I struggle everyday to get past barriers that keep me from loving. But the amazing thing is that each of us was created by God. I am no different from the man at the corner, we each have great potential, the potential to be what God created us to to truly be, wholly His. God is Love………
